Binders (Zeolie, fulvic acid, etc) vs. Chelation Therapy

I’m not a detox expert here - but know for sure that binders are a useful tool to make sure certain toxins are safely escorted out of the body. Chelation therapy is a much more aggressive approach that binds to most metals in blood - both healthy minerals and heavy metals.

Doctors in environmental medicine have to use chelation therapy when patients have extremely high levels of heavy metals. Binders and other gentler strategies can work great for people with lower body burdens.

There are many different tests that can be run to assess one’s body burden. A low cost one that can catch some on-going exposures from heavy metals is the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA). Blood tests, urine testing and many other tests might be required to get a fuller picture of the body burden.
